What's Happening on February 3rd?

February 3rd, 2026 is the Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party's precinct caucus night.

This event is where the DFL organizes at a precinct level to build it's priorities for the upcoming election cycle.

At the precinct caucus, you have the opportunity to directly impact state-level decisions and policymaking by engaging with your community and making your voice heard.

Who We Are

We are your neighbors, your friends, and occasionally, your family. We are ordinary people who have come together to build something larger than the sum of its parts.

We know that greatness is not always tall and powerful like the canopy of a great oak, but sometimes subtle and diffuse as its complex of roots—deliberately working wide and deep into the earth; simultaneously shifting and anchoring the landscape from below.

We will construct the community that we all deserve under the belief that our ideals are enduring and will be tended well by those that come after us. We are SD44 DFL.

Senate District 44 DFL (SD 44 DFL) was formed in 2022 after the 2020 Census and subsequent redistricting process.
We support Landfall, Little Canada, Maplewood, North St. Paul, Oakdale, and Pine Springs.

Senate District 44 was primarily Senate District 43 before the redistricting process occurred. Mahtomedi and Willernie residents are now in SD 33. White Bear Lake and Birchwood Village residents are now in SD 36.
