What's Happening on August 11?
August 11, 2026 is Minnesota's primary election day.
This day is when Minnesotan's vote on which candidates they want to see on the ballots in November's general election.
In the primary, you have the opportunity to formally confirm the candidates endorsed in the public, DFL conventions held earlier in the year—making your voice heard and directly impacting state-level decisions and policymaking.
Senate District 44 DFL (SD 44 DFL) was formed in 2022 after the 2020 Census and subsequent redistricting process.
We support Landfall, Little Canada, Maplewood, North St. Paul, Oakdale, and Pine Springs.
Senate District 44 was primarily Senate District 43 before the redistricting process occurred. Mahtomedi and Willernie residents are now in SD 33. White Bear Lake and Birchwood Village residents are now in SD 36.
